Real-World Learning and Job-Readiness Skills Opportunities

Two MHS students smile Students are provided opportunities to acquire job-readiness skills and explore various careers through different activities and programs.

In the Middle Division, students are provided the opportunity to explore various careers and to gain real-world skills in the world of work through field trips to various industries, job shadowing opportunities, and participating in the Learn, Work, and Earn program as an 8th grader during the YRE (Year Round Experience) summer weeks.

Senior Division students gain valuable workplace insight and real-world experiences in a number of ways.

  • MHS Part-time Work Program - during the summer, after school, evenings and weekends within the Hershey area
  • MHS Internship Program - during the summer and during his/her career/technical course
  • MHS Cooperative Education Program - during the senior year, every other day.
