Milton Hershey School names Rotary Student of the Month for April

The Hershey Rotary Club has named Lawrence Klomps III, a senior at Milton Hershey School (MHS), Rotary Student of the Month for April. Larry, a native of Florida, was admitted to MHS in 2006 as a 10th-grade student.

In addition to consistently earning Distinguished Honors and the Effort/Conduct award, Larry is a member of the National Honor Society, the Student Government Association (secretary), involved in a variety of community service projects, and is a school lifeguard.

At the beginning of the School year, MHS honored Larry with the Visionary Award. This award recognizes students who exemplify the character traits valued by Milton and Catherine Hershey.

Larry was also named Scholar of the Month for November by the School's administration.

Upon graduation from MHS, Larry will attend The Pennsylvania State University to major in biochemistry in preparation for a career in medicine.
