Career as a Teacher
Milton Hershey School® values talented, innovative, and enthusiastic teachers who have a strong commitment to helping students from need grow.
Our Learning Environment:
Milton Hershey School students learn by various educational methods, including standards-based curriculum, interdisciplinary study, applied and cooperative learning, student access to state-of-art technology, and increased availability of campus facilities and services. For Teachers at Milton Hershey School, preparing students academically requires more than helping students succeed in the classroom; it means preparing students to enter society as well educated, skilled, responsible citizens, whether they choose to pursue higher education, join a branch of the armed services, or enter the workplace upon graduation. All students have an opportunity to participate in a unique career education program that spans from pre-kindergarten to twelfth grade. Teachers develop and provide experiences and assume an active leadership role in all activities by displaying a proper role model for student advancement and development. They work to develop a culture that embraces our sacred values of integrity, positive spirit, commitment to mission, and mutual respect. This contributes to the goal of graduate success for each student.
The responsibility of the teacher is to help develop and shape the lives of students in a scholastic environment consistent with the mission statement of Milton Hershey School. The education program comprises three schools: the Elementary School at Memorial Hall (pre - kindergarten through fourth grade); the Middle School at Catherine Hall (fifth through eighth grade); and the High School at Senior Hall (ninth through twelfth grade). Milton Hershey School is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and the Pennsylvania Association of Independent Schools.
