Career as a Substitute Teacher

We are seeking professionals to serve as substitute teachers for various subjects in the elementary, middle, and high schools who are committed to high student achievement and support for all students in a diverse, multicultural environment. Check with Human Resources regarding starting salary.

To substitute teach, you must possess the following credentials:

• Bachelor's degree in education or a closely related discipline
• Valid PA Teaching Certification
• A recent and clean Act 34 Criminal Records Check less than one year old
• A recent and clean Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance less than one year old
• A recent and clean Act 114 Federal Criminal History Report less than one year old
• A recent TB/PPD or chest x-ray less than one year old
• A Resume
• 3 Professional Letters of Reference

Two pieces of identification recommended are:

• Social Security card
• Driver's license or picture ID

You must have all of the above in-hand before STS can set up an appointment!
