As a teacher, it's wonderful when you can make a difference in a child's life. For me, that privilege was doubled when I introduced two of my students and their mother to the many opportunities at Milton Hershey School.

As a Learning Support Teacher working closely with students each day, I realized that two of my students faced a particularly difficult situation at home. The family needed support, and I knew I had the ability to help them surmount these challenges. With their mother's support, we began to explore the many opportunities Milton Hershey School offers.

"Helping two of my students enter Milton Hershey School certainly has been one of the highlights of my 34 years of teaching."

The School was extremely helpful throughout the enrollment process, enabling me to effectively guide and support the boys and their family. The process took some time, but in the end, their enrollment at MHS has been one of the most rewarding moments of my career.

Now, both boys have an incredible opportunity ahead of them - the gift of an education that can take them where they never may have gone.
