What happens next?
Your child's Application for Admission will be reviewed and if basic qualifications are met, you will receive a letter requesting additional documentation, such as a copy of your child's birth certificate.
You may receive a phone call and an invitation to visit the School for an interview and a tour. This will be an opportunity for us to get to know you and your child better and for you to see what Milton Hershey School has to offer.
If you have questions or would like assistance in completing the application, please call (800) 322-3248 (toll-free). We will be glad to help you in any way we can.
Since there are many more applicants than spaces available, the School emphasizes potential to benefit from the MHS program, low income, and age-appropriate behavior in student selections. Enrollment is not guaranteed. If no spaces are open or if a child does not qualify, the parent or sponsor will be informed by mail.
In accordance with the School's Deed of Trust, children born in Dauphin, Lancaster, or Lebanon counties in Pennsylvania and children from the rest of Pennsylvania are given preference over children from other states.
